Books, endings and helicopters

Let's start at the end.

I always find endings bittersweet. On the one hand, you're more than ready to move on to the next best thing. It's very rare that something will end without something else beginning, even if we don't realise it. Relationships using end because people have become different, they've entered a new phase of their life and so an old part usually has to be sacrificed. A pen's life will end because it has run out of ink, and this will make way for a new pen to be found and used. I am using the examples of relationships and pens to symbolise endings because they are two of the things that I hate ending the most, as well as a good book, and I know many people will agree with me on these things.
The reason I am talking about endings is because my school life is finally coming to an end. My (seemingly) life sentence is over. And well, it's bittersweet. On one hand there's the initial THANK FUCK. I can't be dealing with putting up with people for such long amounts of time or doing things that I just don't want to do. I don't want to get up at seven every morning - side note, there are studies showing that a 7am wake up call feels like a 4am wake up call to a teenager, for the last 5 years I have been basically getting up at 4am. I'm friends with a lot of people because I see them five days a week and I think people are starting to realise that I genuinely do not care about anything they're saying. I'm not joking, I'm actually completely and utterly uninterested. I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life. I'm ready to go somewhere new and meet new people, I'm just ready.
But the bitter is that my comprehensive school, that has been such a huge part of my life, is going to move on as if I were never there. You feel like you rule the school in sixth form but really, after you've gone you're nothing. You won't have left a mark, not even a scratch and you look back thinking "what was the point?" At least I am now. I'll miss my teachers, a lot of the time they were what made it bearable. But this change is what I can cope with. No one really forgets their high school years (and I can actually call my school a 'high school' as that's in our name) and it's nostalgic leaving, but it's also so thoroughly exciting.

One thing I have been loving recently is an app called The Hunt. I originally found out about this app on Tyler Oakley's YouTube channel and I instantly fell in love with it. I feel it is more of a girl thing but that's very sexist and I know that if you dig a little deeper you can find some really great stuff for guys as well. This app is basically a godsend. You know when you see an outfit or a piece of jewellery or something in a picture of a bedroom or ANYTHING and you just think "ooh I love/want/adore that" but you don't know where it's from? Well. On The Hunt you just upload that picture, state want you want and send it out and other people everywhere will see it and try and help you find it. You can also see what other people are looking for so you can help them. It's just, incredible. I think it's only available for iPhones though so I apologise about that but seriously, go and download and you will love it and thank me later.

I don't know how many people know this about me, or if this comes over at all in my blogs but I am a very sad child. I enjoy cleaning and tidying. I enjoy having perfectly painted nails and lighting candles and incense sticks. I am just quite easily pleased, which is a good thing I think, makes me easy to live with. Anyway, I (like many people) enjoy a good book. So far I have 32 books to read over summer. In my blogs I will most likely be telling you about these books so I thought that would be something to get you excited about (if you're into that idk) and if you have any books to recommend to me they will always be appreciated. I am so so so excited to read over summer. My exams haven't even started yet and I'm already bored of them. The books around my room are calling to me. The second hand ones with their broken spines and worn in look that look so inviting and I'm dying to know why the previous reader thought they were so delectable that they had to give then away so someone else could read them. And also the new books, that I oh so want to corrupt and read on through the night and lose track of time with. I feel as if I am starting to personify these books and make them slightly sexual. I'll stop, but you catch my drift.
In short notes - I've been to the Doctor Who Exhibition, it is insanely amazing and every Doctor Who fan should DEFINITELY go there. I have basically had all my hair chopped off (pictures on Instagram @c0mmonperson) and I'm enjoying it. I am saving up for a laptop. I am desperately trying to get fit but one day working out means five days not. I voted Green. I'm so ready to go to the South of France in summer.
As I am writing this a helicopter seems to be circling my home.
It is very annoying.
But because I love you all, my little pally-wallies, with all my heart, I still write on for you.
Take care of yourselves. Stay strong, freedom is just around the corner xo
